We are delighted that our plans for eighteen new apartments for disabled people have been approved by Fenland District Council. Our work could begin as soon as Autumn 2018.
The development, on Huntingdon Road in Chatteris, will enable local people with learning and physical disabilities to gain more independence by having their own home with their own front door, often for the first time in their lives. The scheme comes with staff accommodation to support the tenants in their daily lives.
Alastair Sheehan, planning and development director at HBV, the specialist supported living developer, which is a joint venture partner with Morgan Sindall Investments Limited (MSIL), said:
“We are delighted to have received the green light to progress with this special development and we are making plans to be onsite for Autumn. We are extremely grateful to have received the support of officers and members of Cambridgeshire County Council and Fenland District Council to deliver this scheme.
“I’m confident it will, as on all our schemes across the country, make a positive difference to the outcomes of local disabled people, their families, local businesses and the wider community.”
